How Do I Start DCDI In My Diocese?
There are three options for you to choose, as you consider bringing the Diocesan Church Development Institute (DCDI) to your diocese.
Parachute Model
Your diocese contracts with a qualified team of DCDI Trainers to come to your diocese for a minimum period of three years.
The DCDI Trainers will:
Apostolic Model
Your diocese contracts with an existing DCDI program to send key leaders and potential trainers to an existing DCDI program for three years. (Two years to participate in the program and one year to complete the trainer internship.)
The hosting DCDI Trainers will:
Open DCDI Model
An existing DCDI program accepts a congregational team from your diocese, to help you build up that congregation. Your diocese does not launch its own DCDI program.
The hosting DCDI Trainers will:

- Teach the DCDI program to congregational teams from within your diocese
- Work with the Bishop and other diocesan leaders to recruit local trainers from within your diocese or your new DCDI program
- Train the intern trainers for your DCDI program
- Model good team work and group development for the new training team
- Offer ongoing support for the new trainers and your new DCDI program

An existing DCDI program accepts a congregational team from your diocese, to help you build up that congregation. Your diocese does not launch its own DCDI program.
The hosting DCDI Trainers will:
- Teach the DCDI program to your visiting team, alongside their own diocesan participants
- Model good teamwork and group development
- Support your congregational team in its church development work, throughout its program involvement
